My husband and I were blessed with a tiny miracle preemie. It was a difficult situation that no one ever prepares for. The hospital offered art sessions to help parents cope. The sessions awoke the artist in me and it certainly distracted me from feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and uncertain about the future.
According to Picasso, “Art washes off the dust of every day.” Art helped me to heal and creativity opened my heart to the notion of being mindful of the present moment and living happily in it by touching the peace and joy that is available in the “now.” This sense of mindfulness cleared my mind to help me witness Jade’s extraordinary strength and will to live. Despite her rough start in life, and six longs months in the hospital, Jade has defied all odds and is thriving!
Jade is a daily reminder that nothing is
impossible; and even the little things in life can make a big
impact. Although she was tiny in frame, her raw and uninhibited
energy was magnificent, and it forced me to look within myself
and realize my own strengths. Ultimately, Jade helped me to
realize that art heals (both the creator and the recipient of the art).
In August 2016, Tiny Jade Inspirations was federally recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers fine arts, crafts as well as the opportunity for individuals to escape this digital world, immerse themselves in the painting process and feel inspired to create. My husband and I firmly believe in paying it forward; hence, all proceeds will be donated to various charities aimed towards helping children live happy and healthy lives.
Tiny Jade Inspiration’s mission is to bring individuals peace of mind through creativity. In turn, the profits will be donated to various children’s charities to help children live happy and healthy lives.
We envision a community consisting of happy and healthy children and adults who have found hope, healing, joy and peace through creativity.
